The Moustache Mamas

Coming up at the Shuffle, are the Moustache Mamas…

Well what can be said about this delectable duo, this trio of trouble minus one, these fashionistas of facial hair? They’re hot & sexy musical mamas whose smiles are tinged with a dirty feeling that you want, but won’t admit you like! Stars of the Star of Bethnal Green, depraved with Another Fine Mess and Lusty Ladies of Loose. Expect dirty disco, filthy rock, furious funk & a lil’ bit of yacht rock – for the landlocked.

And this si what they’ve got to say about coming to the Shuffle….

“The Mamas are gonna be jumpsuited, frisky & ready for the mayhem of Shoreditch Shuffle! We pride ourselves in dirty deeds done disco’d…and yacht rock’in for the landlocked…Come shake your lip feathers with us!”

Shuffle on the blogs

Some buzz on the blogs about the Shuffle…

There Goes The Fear – Shoreditch Shuffle

“Created by Who’s Jack, a trendsetting music, art and lifestyle magazine, The Shoreditch Shufflewill boast names from a variety of creative arenas coming together to perform and create for the public, marking a fantastic end to the summer season.

Boys of the moment; 5 O’clock Heroes will play 333 on Sunday 14th September at 10.30pm as one of the headline acts of the weekend. Also, on a musical tip, ‘kiddy disco punk’ maestro Kid Carpet joins the 333 bill. ITV’s Rufus Hound is confirmed to top the comedy line up.”

My Chemical Toilet – Shoreditch Shuffle to feature Five O’Clock Heroes, Man Like Me, life-threatening number of hipsters

“On the music bill you’ll be able catch the Agyness Deyn-fronted Five O’Clock Heroes, Man Like Me (who I can confirm are great live), Akira The Don, Little Man Tate, Mama Shamone, The Fighting Cocks and Thomas Tantrum among many others. Not a bad line-up for the £30 weekend ticket price (single day tickets are £20).

And it’s not just music, either – other eclectic delights will include:

– Cute cupcake creators The Great Cake Escape taking over the Kemistry Bar all weekend. Not sure if this” means you just get to watch people baking, or what.”

Get Shit Dun – Shuffle Left Shuffle Right Shuffle All Night

“What is the Shoreditch Shuffle?

Organised by Who’s Jack magazine, it’s taking place on September the 13th and 14th 2008. Set in approx 15 different venues in and around ‘the triangle’ of Shoreditch, this weekend extravaganza will showcase new talent across the board including music, fashion, art, short film, comedy and literature.

A must for connoisseurs of all things new and exciting.”
